DSM

DSM

The DSM (Docking and Stowage Module) was to be docked to the nadir port of the Zarya CM of the ISS complex. It was to provide stowage area for the Russian segment and to provide another docking port for Soyuz-TMA and Progress-M flights.

DSM was to tranport about 5.6 t of fuel to the station and to provide six gyroscopes for attitude control. The latest plans before cancellation were to rework the FGB-2 backup module to the DSM configuration. Later it was to be replaced by the MPM Enterprise module, which in turn was replaced by the FGB-2 based MLM.
