UPMSat 2

UPMSat 2 [UPM]

The UPMSat 2 (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid Satellite 2) is an educational, scientific and in-orbit technological demonstration satellite built by the Technical University of Madrid – Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM)

Its prime objective is to give students the competences for designing, building, testing, integrating, and operating a small satellite, but whose execution involves all the complexity of a complete space system.

The platform has a volume of 0.5 × 0.5 × 0,6 m3, of which about 40% are available for payloads, and a total mass of about 50 kg. It will operate in a Sun-synchronous orbit at 600 km.
