Maxar announced in April 2023 that it was selected to provide a high power direct broadcasting satellite, EchoStar XXV, to DISH Network Corporation (EchoStar).

It will utilize Maxar's flight-proven SSL-1300 spacecraft bus.

EchoStar XXV will be equipped with a high-power, multi-spot beam payload, allowing DISH to provide high-quality content to its customers.
