ONDOSAT-OWL 1 [ONDOSAT]
ONDOSAT-OWL-1 and 2, also known as OWLSAT 1 and 2, are 0.5U cubesats that will be the first satellites launched as part of a collaboration between ONDO Space LLC and the Mongolian Radio Sport Federation. The ONDOSAT-OWL CubeSat constellation consists of two satellites.
The main objective is to offer amateur operators with message storage and forwarding capabilities on the amateur UHF band. The mission's goal is to showcase Store and Forward (S&F) operations, including the scheduled and unscheduled uplink of S&F data from amateur radio operators in Mongolia and throughout the world.
The data will be stored aboard and transmitted to suitable ground stations in Mongolia. The mission's objective is to offer the Mongolian amateur radio community with a dependable satellite platform to verify their uplink equipment by transmitting S&F signals to the satellite and validating a successful downlink.
Aside from this mission, the ONDOSAT-OWL CubeSats will broadcast encrypted brief messages using their beacons in the 435-438MHz frequency band.
