AEROS MH-1

AEROS MH-1 []

AEROS MH-1 is a Portugese 3U CubeSat developed by CEIIA, which will serve as a precursor to a future ocean-sensing constellation.

AEROS will develop and launch into orbit a new nanosatellite platform as a precursor to a future constellation that can leverage the great potential of the study of the Earth, its oceans and atmosphere in liaison with advanced communications technologies to deliver tangible scientific and economic value to society.

AEROS employs a miniaturized high-resolution Hyperspectral Imager (HSI), a 5 MP RGB camera, and a Software Defined Radio (SDR) to communicate with Argos, a globally distributed network of remote platforms that gather and relay oceanographic and meteorological data. These sensors will help enhance Portuguese scientific and technological knowledge, as well as worldwide space industry relationships, by processing and aggregating data for end users in a new web-based Data Analysis Centre (DAC).
