AGILE

AGILE [ASI]

AGILE (Astro-rivelatore Gamma a Immagini LEggero) is a small scientific mission devoted to gamma-ray astrophysics supported by the Italian Space Agency (ASI).

The AGILE scientific instrument is highly innovative with optimal imaging capabilities both in the gamma-ray energy range (30 MeV - 30 GeV) and in the hard X-ray range (10 - 40 keV).

AGILE contains also the experimental Rubin 6 communication payload for OHB-System to send data via the Orbcomm satellite constellation.

AGILE was the first foreign payload to launch as a prime customer on an indian PSLV-CA launch vehicle.
