ESSENCE

ESSENCE [York University]

ESSENCE (Educational Space Science and Engineering CubeSat Experiment) is a Canadian 3U CubeSat developed by the York University to test a Canadian-developed wide-angle camera to observe snow and ice coverage in Northern Canada.

The satellite was launched onboard the Dragon CRS-28 cargo spacecraft to the ISS, from where it was deployed in July 2023.
