GENMAT 1

GENMAT 1 [GenMat]

GENMAT 1 is a 6U-CubeSat earth observation satellite developed by featuring an hyperspectral imager payload focused on mineralogical assay. It is a prototype for a planned constellation of satellites for the purpose of prospecting and categorizing Earth’s geological resources.

The satellite features an imager providing hyperspectral imaging data between 450 nm and 900 nm. Data will be correlated with ground truth field observations on privately held land in Nevada and other locations deemed relevant to the research.
