Tianzhou 1 (TZ 1) is the first Chinese cargo spacecraft to service the Tiangong 2 and follow on space stations.

The supply spacecraft is based on the Tiangong design. Tiangong will be launched on CZ-7 rockets from Wenchang.

The maiden flight, Tianzhou 1, will be launched in 2017 to test operations with the experimental Tiangong 2 space station.

The second flight, Tianzhou 2 in 2018 will dock with the next station, Tianhe.
