Xidian 1 (XD 1) is an optical hyperspectral remote sensing satellite, mainly used for remote sensing observation missions to the ground, and can provide customers with a full range of remote sensing image services. It is 88 kg optical remote sensing satellite, developed by Minospace (Beijing Weina Star Technology Co., Ltd.) for the FutureSpace Research Institute.
The main payload is a hyperspectral camera. Compared with the 4-band and 8-band of conventional optical remote sensing cameras, the hyperspectral camera can pass up to dozens of spectral bands and finer spectral bands. It can capture all kinds of special types of ground features, such as specific types of vegetation, soil and crop status, etc. The satellite will be used for normal monitoring of specific areas.
A . The main load on this satellite is a hyperspectral camera, which can capture various special types of ground features, such as specific types of vegetation, soil and crop status. The satellite will be used for normal monitoring of specific areas.
Xidian 1 was launched in February 2022 as a co-passenger on a CZ-8 (2) rocket.
