Victus Nox (TacRS 3)

Victus Nox (TacRS 3) [Millennium Space]

Victus Nox is a technology demonstration satellite for the US Space Force’s tactically responsive launch program (TacRS, formerly TacRL), which is intended to provide space domain awareness. The mission is also called TacRS-3.

In October 2022 contracts for the construction and launch of the satellite were awarded to Millennium Space and Firefly respectively.

Millennium will pull a satellite from its production line, modify it for the TacRS mission and deliver within eight months. Critical to the program is its short call-up time, allowing just hours to run the satellite through final testing, fueling and delivery to the launch site for launch on a Firefly-Alpha.
