Unicorn 1

Unicorn 1 [Alba Orbital]

The Unicorn 1 mission is a picosatellite developped by Alba Orbital to the 2P PocketQube form factor.

The mission of Unicorn-1 is twofold. The primary payload is an experimental 2.2 GHz S-Band half duplex radio which will trial a link to an Avanti geo-synchronous satellite called Artemis (now another satellite due to the end of life of Artemis). The secondary payload is an experimental ADS-B receiver to listen to aircraft beacons. It have a ground to LEO radio in the UHF amateur band at 437 Mhz using AX25.

Unicorn 1 is planned to be launched in 2020 onboard of UniSat 7, which will deploy it.
