TetherSat 1, 2 [NPS]

Tethersat wass a 3U CubeSat that splits into two 1.5U CubeSats joined by a 1 km tether to test electrodynamic tether propulsion.

It was a mission of the Naval Postgraduate School and was to be launched via the Space Test Program (STP) and NASA's ELaNa initiative. The student project was ended before the satellite could be completed.
