TAU-SAT 1 [Tel Aviv University]

The Israeli TAU-SAT 1 (Tel Aviv University Satellite) 3U CubeSat was devised, developed, assembled, and tested at the Tel Aviv University's Nanosatellite Center, an interdisciplinary endeavor of the Faculties of Engineering and Exact Sciences and the Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences.

TAU-SAT 1 carries two payloads.

  • University students’ educational research space radiation that will examine physical space radiation. This will be active for about three months.
  • an U/V FM amateur radio transponder.
