Skidbladnir-Parashield was a test of an deployable umbrella-like heat-shield made of silicon fabric developed by University of Maryland's Space Systems Laboratory. It was to be tested on the maiden flight of the Amroc-SET rocket, but the launch failed and the experiment was destroyed.
