ROBUSTA 3A [University of Montpellier II]

ROBUSTA 3A (Radiation on Bipolar Test for University Satellite Application), also called Méditerranée, is a Cubesat project of the University of Montpellier II with a both scientific and educational mission.

The CubeSat (3U) has following mission:

  • the Méditerranée scientific mission in partnership with Météo France to improve the accuracy of weather forecasts around the Mediterranean basin and in particular the forecast of the Cévenol episodes;
  • a humanitarian mission in partnership with associations to provide a means of communication between schools located in Burkina Faso in cut-off areas of networks and partner schools in France;
  • an engineering mission that will test and qualify an on-board equipment, the Star Tracker, a system of attitude determination in space.
