NORSAT 4

NORSAT 4 [UTIAS]

The Space Flight Laboratory (SFL) is developing the NORSAT 4 microsatellite, for the Norwegian Space Centre.

The Norsk Romsenter (Norwegian Space Centre) signed a contract in 2021 with UTIAS (University of Toronto, Institute for Aerospace Studies) for the construction of the NORSAT 4 microsatellite.

NORSAT 4 will carry an Automatic Identification System (AIS) ship tracking receiver developed by Kongsberg Seatex. An important new addition on NorSat-4 will be a low-light imaging camera.
