Myriota [Myriota]
Myriota is a constellation of picosatellites for Internet-of-Things (IoT) communications by the Australian company Myriota.
The low earth orbit constellation will consist eventually of 50 satellites. Initial operations begin with four satellites purchased in orbit from exactEarth (EV 1, 6, EV 9, EV 11). The satellites will allow customers to communicate with devices from anywhere on the planet using Myriota’s low cost, long battery life, secure service.
In early 2019, Myriota has contracted with Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems, Inc. for the construction of three initial 3U CubeSats of 5 kg each to be launched in 2019, now delayed to 2020. Each satellite will run Myriota’s unique, patented software which provides reliable, direct-to-satellite Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for millions of users worldwide.
