Iinusat 1 [INSPIRE]

The INSPIRE project is a collaborative project from four universities in Indonesia to build and to launch a satellite named Iinusat 1 (Indonesian inter-university satellite).

The mission is to gain experience in designing and building satellites. Iinusat 1 is designed with a hexagonal geometry with solar panel around its outer wall and has a weight of 30 kg.

The satellite will be launched as a piggy-back payload on an Indian PSLV launch vehicle in 2014.
