HYPSO 1 [NanoAvionics]
The Norvegian HYPSO 1 (Hyper-spectral Satellite for ocean observation 1) is a 6U CubeSat mission by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Electronics and Telecommunication featuring an hHyperspectral imager to monitor algal blooms and other biological activity in the ocean.
On HYPSO-1 the payload consists of a hyperspectral imager and one RGB imager. The goal is to observe ocean color and detect harmful algal blooms (HABs). The satellite is built by NanoAvionics.
An improved version will be flown as HYPSO 2.
