HSAT 1

HSAT 1 [Harris]

HSAT 1 is a 6U CubeSat mission developed as an Internal Research and Design (IR&D) testbed funded by Harris Corporation that will test and characterize the performance of a Harris payload in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), as well as demonstrate and characterize the performance of a deployable antenna design.

HSAT 1 carries a camera for taking images of the deployable appendages on the satellite as well as panchromatic images of the Earth with a 698 meter resolution. The satellite will operate in a circular, sunsynchronous, low earth orbit (approximately 500 km).

HSAT 1 was launched in late 2018 on an Indian PSLV as a copassenger.
