Feng Yun 3G [CMA/NSMC]

FY-3G (Feng Yun 3G) is a precipitation monitoring satellite in the the second generation of chinese low earth orbiting meteorological satellites FY-3 series.

The three-axis stabilized satellites feature two solar panels and following instruments:

  • PMR: Precipitation Measurement Radar
  • GNOS-2: GNSS Radio Occultation Sounder-2
  • MERSI-RM: MERSI-Rainfall Measurement
  • MWRI-RM: Micro-Wave Radiation Imager for the Rainfall Mission
  • HARC: High Accuracy Radiometric Calibrator
  • SIPMAI: Short-wave Infrared Polarized Multi-Angle Imager
