CEP 1 (Cylindrical Electrostatic Probe 1) or CEPE (Cylindrical Electrostatic Probe Experiment) was a piggy-back experiment mounted on the second stage of the Delta-N6 rocket, which launched the NOAA 1 weather satellite.
CEP 1 was designed to obtain data on electron density, temperature and ion current.
