Capella 11 [Capella Space]
Capella Space of California is developing the Capella Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites. They are planned to operate in a 30 satellite constellation.
The improved Acadia satellites increase radar bandwidth from 500 to 700 megahertz and power by more than 40 percent compared to the Capella 2nd generation satellites. For Acadia, Capella is upgrading the payload downlink antenna to reduce the time between ground contact and imaging. Acadia satellites also will be equipped with Mynaric optical communications terminals, which are compatible with the interoperability standard established by the Pentagon’s Space Development Agency - a move designed to reduce the time from imagery collection to downlinking.
