Beiyou 1 is the first satellite of theTiansuan constellation ofShenzhen Research Institute of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Changsha Tianyi space science and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd.

The Tiansuan constellation focuses on the directions of new network computing, integrated service computing and distributed intelligent computing to build an open-source platform for on orbit test of aerospace computing integrating industry, University, research and application. There are 6 satellites in the first phase of Tiansuan constellation.

Beiyou 1 was launched in 2023 on a CZ-2D (2) rocket.
