ARSAT-3 is an Argentine comsat project and is slated to enter service in 2019, and will be positioned at 81 degrees West.
The satellite is to be built by INVAP as prime contractor, using the ARSAT-3K bus. The communication payload, consisting of 12 Ku-band and 8 Ka-band operative transponders, will be supplied by Thales Alenia Space. A launch date of 2019 was envisaged.
In 2016, the work was halted, since ARSAT 2 had only a 30% utilization contracted, so the self financing of ARSAT 3 became doubtful.
