NuView A, B

NuView A [Astranis]

Anuvu (formerly Global Eagle Entertainment) plans a 8-satellite geostationary communications satellite costellation of NuView satellites for aviation and maritime customers and will provide high-performance connectivity.

At one meter cubed and under 400 kg, the Astranis MicroGEO satellites can be built in months, not years. The first two satellites of the Anuvu Constellation are dedicated to Anuvu’s aviation and maritime customers and will provide high-performance connectivity over North America and the Caribbean. The 400 kg satellites will use electric propulsion to reach geostationary orbit.

The satellites are High Throughput Satellites (HTS) featuring a reconfigurable software-defined payload.

Anuvu and Astranis are targeting launch for the first two satellites in early 2023, with six more to follow.
