BCP-5000 (Worldview 1) [Ball]
The BCP-5000 is a member of a family of spacecraft buses with a common architecture. The BCP-5000 is being developed to accommodate the next-generation optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) remote-sensing payloads. The BCP-5000 will provide increased power, stability, agility, and data storage and transmission as the demand for Earth remote-sensing information becomes more comprehensive.
To handle the next-generation payloads, the BCP-5000 will provide increased power in standard increments. For increased spacecraft agility, control moment gyros provide excellent re-targeting capability while supplying the stability for the finest spatial resolution payloads.
