M-56 Family

Aries

Conestoga-1 [SSI]

ERIS

The Aries sounding rocket consists of a refurbished Minuteman-1 second stage (M-56). It was used to lift heavy payloads to suborbital altitudes. An improved version with a Talos booster was introduced in 1990. Both USAF and NASA were users of the Aries.
