Orbex

Orbex Prime [Orbex]

Orbex is a small liquid fueled orbital launch vehicle, which is being developed by Orbex Space.

The Orbex Prime launch vehicle features the unusual fuel combination of liquid oxygen and bio-propane, a version of propane produced from biomass with a very low carbon footprint. Also an unusual feature is the coaxial tank design with a central tube of propane surrounded by an outer tank of liquid oxygen.

Orbex Prime will be capable of placing 150 kilograms into a standard 500 kilometer sun-synchronous orbit. A launch site at A’Mhoine, Sutherland, Scotland, has been selected.
