The Blue Whale-1 is planned South Korean small orbital rocket developed privately by Perigee Aerospace, backed by Samsung.
Blue Whale-1 has a length of 8.5 m with a constant diameter of 0.76 m and features a LNG and LOX fueled engines. The engine runs oxidiser rich staged combustion to achieve 348 s Isp in vacuum. Stage two has the same diameter diameter. The lift-off mass is 1800 kg.
The Blue Whale-1 is capable to put 50 kg into a 500 km sun-syncronous orbit or 65 kg into LEO.
The Blue Whale-1 rocket is planned to be launched from Southern Launch's Whaler's Way Orbital Launch Complex in Australia. The maiden launch has been orginally planned for 2020, but has been delayed.
