Athena-3 [ATK] |
The Athena-3 is a rocket planned by ATK as a medium launch vehicle.
The vehicle is based on a Castor-900 three-segment SRB booster, which is derived from the Space Shuttle four-segment SRB. This first stage is topped by a Castor-120 and a Castor-30 solid rocket motors.
In March 2017, Lockheed Martin announced, that they are ending the active marketing of the Athena family of rockets.
