Veery FS-1 (Veery v0.2, Hatchling Veery Orion)

Veery FS-1 [Care Weather Technologies]

Veery FS-1 (Veery v0.2, Hatchling Veery Orion) is a picosatellite developed by Care Weather Technologies to the 1P PocketQube form factor as a technology demonstrator for their planned Veery wind scatterometer satellites.

This mission continues Care Weather's satellite bus demonstration series. On orbit activities include testing of Orion's improved Iridium communications software, telemetry, and data logging, as well as testing of Care Weather's early attitude determination and control system. Additional testing of Care Weather's new radio and ground station is expected.

The satellite was launched in 2022 by a Falcon-9 v1.2 (Block 5) rocket on the Transporter-5 rideshare mission onboard of the Vigoride 3 space tug to be deployed later on orbit.
