TY 4-02 [Spacety]
Tongchuan 1, Zhaojin-1 or TY 4-02 is the first verification test satellite of the Tiange Project. It is an astronomical exploration satellite jointly developed by Tianyi Research Institute and Tsinghua University Astrophysics Center and Tongchuan City of Shaanxi Province.
This satellite, as the first verification satellite of the Tiange project, will lay the foundation for the development of the subsequent Tiange plan. At the same time, the star is equipped with a new type of high-sensitivity X-ray polarization detector to carry out a new astronomical observation test, called GRID-1. In addition, the satellite will also verify the inter-satellite communication technology and conduct a natural-ground link test with the satellite ground station of Shaanxi Xingyi Space Technology Co., Ltd.
The 8 kg satellite is built to the 6U CubeSat form factor.
The satellite was launched in October 2018 as a co-passenger to CFOSAT on a CZ-2C (3) rocket.
