
SRMSAT [ISRO]
SRMSAT (Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Satellite) is a microsat developed by the SRM University. Its purpose is to provide hands on experience to the students and the faculty of SRM University, to develop a 10 kg satellite, to monitor greenhouse gases and to develop a "Nano Satellite Bus" for future missions.
The scientific objective of SRMSAT is to monitor green house gases in Near Infrared region 900 nm - 1700 nm. A grating spectrometer is employed for the monitoring of Earth-based sources and sinks of anthropogenic and natural sources of greenhouse gases.
