Spark 01 [Shanghai Small Satellite Center]
Spark 01 and Spark 02 are Chinese hyperspctral earth observing minisatellites.
The spacecrafts were built and are operated by the China Academy of Sciences' Shanghai Small Satellite Center on the WN5000 bus.
The satellites feature a wide-range hyperspectral imager. The ground resolution is 50 m, covering spectral range from visible to near infrared (420 nm - 1000 nm) and a swath width of 100 km. The imager has an average spectral resolution of 148 channels of 5 nm and a single satellite could obtain 2.5 million km2 hyperspectral imagery per day, with global coverage every 16 days.
Spark 01 and 02 were launched together with a third small satellite as secondary payloads with TanSat in December 2016 on a CZ-2D (2) rocket.
