P-226 is a small subsatellite with a similar orbit as the P-801 ELINT series.

This subsatellite was deployed from racks mounted on the KH-9 Hexagon reconnaissance satellites. It used two solid-fuel kick-motors to maneuver itself into its operational orbit after deployment.
