LAPAN-ORARI [LAPAN]

LAPAN-ORARI (LAPAN A3) is a indonesian microsatellite for disaster management by amateur radio communication, as well as Earth observation (multi-spectral remote sensing) for land use, natural resource and environment monitoring.

The satellite structure and many subsystems are the same as in it's sister satellite LAPAN A2.

LAPAN-ORARI carries a payload of voice repeaters and an APRS Repeater for communications of the Organisation for Amateur Radio Indonesia (ORARI) during a disaster. The Earth observation payload consists of a Video camera (PAL RGB) for 80 km width coverage and a 3 band multi-spectral imaging camera with a ground resolution of 24 m and 154 km swath width. This satellite will also carry the ADI (Attitute Determination Instrument) star tracker.
