FUNcube 1

FUNcube [Amsat-UK]

FUNcube 1 is a 1U CubeSat nanosat built by a team of volunteer radio amateurs and other specialists.

FUNcube 1 is designed to carry a single U/V linear transponder with a beacon carrying telemetry and data for educational demonstrations from space. The project includes the development of simple receivers and display software for use at schools etc.It is expected that the spacecraft construction and verification will completed by April 2012. A launch has been arranged on a Dnepr-1 flight from Yasny in Russia scheduled for the third quarter of 2012
