Unha-2 ("Taepodong-2")

Unha-2 [KRT]

The Unha-2 rocket, which bears the western codename Taepodong-2, is North Koreas second attempt to produce a long range missile. It is thought to be capable to reach the western areas of the United States or to place a small satellite into orbit. A range of 10000 to 12000 with a 250 kg warhead has been reported. Some analysts believe, that the failed first launch was to orbit a modest payload, but most likely was a test flight of the missile configuration. A second attempt was conducted in April 2009, but apparently also failed.
