The R-11A was a soviet scientific sounding rocket based on the R-11 (Scud-A) missile.
26 known launches took place, both from Kapustin Yar near Volgograd and Ostrov OKhysa on Franz Josef Land. The rocket was launched from a track based transporter erector launcher (TEL) like the missile version.
