Cirrus

Cirrus-2 [Hermann Oberth Society]

The Cirrus was a sounding rocket with two stages, developed by the "Hermann Oberth Society".

The Cirrus was developed both in one stage and a two stage version, capable to reach a height of 35 kilometers or 50 kilometers with a payload of 5 kg.

For each version, only one flight was conducted, both on 16 September 1961 from Cuxhaven. A remaining Cirrus-2 rocket is exhibited at the Hermann Oberth Space Travel Museum in Feucht, Germany.
